Twitter notifications not working?

So for some reason when I try to set up notifications within Twitter's own app, it always gives me an error that it is unable to save my settings. The notifications work fine on my M8 but I've never been able to get them working on my S6 nor was I able to do so on my Note 4. Is that a Samsung issue? Or does anyone else have the same problem? Super annoying. I end up missing important info sometimes just because I don't get notified. Thanks!
