Two annoying things

Can the volume switches be disabled when the phone is locked? I'm always changing the volume in my now overstuffed pocket.

No led. I can live with that. These led Alps I've seen either work with only a few phones or are too complicated.

I had the Epic Touch and the LED light didn't work too well with that either.
