Samsung purported to reveal new Galaxy smartphones with flexible screens at MWC 2017

Any thoughts?

I think with MWC being almost a year out, this is very speculative. Not saying it can't happen, Samsung has already shown flexible screens in 2014 or 15, but I just think this is more clickbait than anything else.

Idk... it was reported by Bloomberg who tend to be pretty reliable and this is not an isolated report either... word has been floating around lately about Project Valley and Galaxy X coming in early 2017 for months now. Plus just recently at display week Samsung showcased a rollable/flexible screen prototype and OPPO had a folding tablet screen (7inch) on display. I think it's going to happen the only question being when.... and my money is on sooner rather than later...

I don't know deadp1xel... I think I read somewhere that the one that folds like a wallet is going to be super high end... like 4k screen/next gen snapdragon, etc... I'd keep me eye out for that one if I were you...

If they are high end or one is I'll be on it like flies on ??????

It's interesting. I read somewhere they wouldn't be high end phones though which means I wouldn't be interested.

With every new 'revolutionary' product, comes a high price since its 'new'. In my opinion If Samsung put mid-range specs in and sell it for a very high price.

It's going to be hard to purchase since you paying all that extra for essentially a bend-able screen, but at the end of the day it will still have a mid range processor ect.
