Two Images on Home screen

I apologize if this has been posted about already, but I can't find it anywhere.

A few months back, both mine and my husband's phone got a dual image of the home screen on top of each other. This is particularly annoying in that you cannot see what time it is because of two different time images on top of each other, as well as the battery, and battery percentage, etc, etc. It is no longer there once you go into an app.

Any idea what the cause of this is and how it can be fixed?

Can you post an screenshot? Are you using any third party launcher? Could be a couple of widgets overlapping.

Check a couple of things. What happens if you tap on it? Can you drag it around after you tap and hold?
