I already got two cases. Actually some of the big retailers like Sams and Best Buy have the cases in the stores. Sams has the S8 Defender for the regular S8 on the shelf already and Best Buy near me had a couple Defenders but not on display yet. The guy had to go in the back to get it. I watched him on the computer and it wasn't supposed to be put out active until the 16th but they still sold it to me anyway.

I'm jealous of you all. I just got this S7E in Feb. So now I have to wait another 4 months before I can upgrade again. By then the Note 8 will be here and I'll have a tough time deciding which one to get. I'm a phone nut. Can't stop looking at these forums even though I can't get one just yet.

Only thing with the retailers they seem to cost more, and I didnt want to foot $59 for defender. I don't like it in a fully enclosed case anyway. Ill probably grab an otterbox symmetry or commuter style case when they go on sale

Sams is cheaper than other retailers for cases. They don't charge full price like Best Buy does. Their prices are usually slightly cheaper than Amazon too! the problem is that it usually takes them about 3 months to get the latest Otterbox cases in stock. I was shocked they even had cases for the S8 so fast. Also Best Buy price matches Amazon, but at launch Amazon charges the same price best buy does usually.

About the Defender, the S8 one isn't worth 60 bucks! The materials are nowhere near as good as the S7, s7 edge defenders. They went cheap on it indeed. I would buy the Symmetry over it for cheaper since this Defender is thinner anyway. I like how it has no built in screen protector.

A great alternative might be the I Blason Armor Box. The design is very similar to the S8 Defender and a lot cheaper! THe Poetic revolution is another good cheaper alternative too.

I haven't order the Symmetry yet as I think this first batch is going to have defective speaker cutout on the bottom. Looking at this video and pictures on eBay the cutout looks like the iPhone 7 Plus speaker cutout.

Please post some pictures of the Symmetry case when you get it.
