Two Phones released on the same day?

I kind of disagree. There is the difference, but I think it's much less than it was this time last year. I mean, the lower end phones were really low end. They had slower processors, less RAM (256MB wasn't unusual), and even lower screen resolutions (many had 320x480 screens).

As it is now, almost all the phones on the market have either WVGA (800x480) or higher resolutions, decently fast processors, and at least 512MB of RAM.

If you look at just the numbers, there may not appear to be much of a difference. But, in most cases, the actual chipset, RAM type, etc., are a generation (or more) newer. For example, a 1GHz CPU from last year is not near as fast as a 1GHz CPU this year, even though the clock speed is the same. The technology and implementation of the CPU is much better, considering both speed and power usage. The same can be said for graphics processors and RAM. Anyway, the point is that you need to look further than just the clock speed, amount of RAM, etc., and look into the actual chipset, RAM type, etc.

Found out the other Android phone: The Casio G'zOne Commando @ $199. Never even heard of it before the AC announcement.
