Ok hi everyone...

So I'd like to get The Old Man an app or three for his Note 10.1 (maybe will buy them for myself as well if necessary or awesome)... Particularly the PrinterShare (as i know he wants to print and was disappointed it didnt print right off the bat) and I downloaded the app to try, it set itself up, found my printer downstairs, an then said (Oh you need the paid premium key) ... $12.95 . Well the test page printed good I am gonna go ahead and buy him the premium version for fathers day (In addition to something else much more substantial). So two questions?

How can I "purchase" an app for him (or someone else). I googled it and basically it was , "Buy a gift card for the Google Store from somewhere and give it to him" ... which I guess I can do but, is there another way?

And while we're at it, any other absolutely awesome or essential apps for productivity / using/ awesomeness/ etc. I could or would or should include just on spec ?

Thanks much my righteous peoples!

Google Play does allow for purchase of credits but it looks like you can only do it for your own account.

Gift cards may be the way to go.

Hard to particularly recommend productivity apps w/o knowing how Dad wants to use his Note. Most of my "go to" apps are native to the device; SNote and the S calendar.

Three paid apps that were worth the $ to me:

Office Suite Pro 7
DVD Catalyst
Dropsync Pro
