Two Verizon employees said Bionic was scrapped.

Upgrade came up today. Stopped in a store, just to tease myselft and take a look at the Revolution, which i hadn't seen yet.

Anyway, asked about the Bionic and was told that it's a long way off. Trouble was batter life and that they had to redo the whole phone just for the batter.......I almost laughed at the guy....what an idiot. Those service people in the Corp. store know nothing.

After that he tried to push the D3 and the iPhone on me. Told me 4G was no good yet.



I'm starting to lose patience though. Just tell us a date! Ugh....I could wait longer if I only knew a concrete date. If it wasn't for Bing I'd have folded and grabbed the Revolution. Best looking one of the bunch with the smoothes UI.

I went to my Verizon store today asking about the Bionic and his response was that he wasnt supposed to say anything. After pressuring a little bit, he said to expect it September and the specs are comparible to the Infuse on ATT. His wording was "if you took the infuse and put it into a bigger phone, you've got the bionic". I asked him if the screen was 4.3 or 4.5 (like the infuse) and he said its 4.8. I very highly doubt this, but figured id share. He said its supposed to act as a minitablet. Seems far fetched but his "proof" was they got to play with them recently. The delays he said were due to issues with verizons network that were taking longer than they hoped. I'm having a hard time buying the 4.8, but if its true, you heard it here first.

went into VZ on thursday to help a friend out with upgrading and the guy I talked to actually said it was around the corner. He seemed pretty knowledgeable about it (yeah I was shocked but he said he was waiting for it too) and made mention of the email signup website and that VZ does not put up those websites unless it is really close to release.

Yea, 4.8 is a bit ridiculous. I'm really hoping its 4.5 because that is quite large already. He may have just thought it was 4.8 by eyeballing and guesstimating since its so large. It being "pretty much the Infuse" but on Verizon would fit into the 4.5 thing. All these teasers coming out, like the store display with the blank spot among other things, are making me think its going to be 4.3 though, and that will be very disappointing.

It was 2006 i was in dire need of a new phone and was on sprint but they had no new smartphones i liked so i went for the motorola Q it was a great phone fast and played all my video files 1 problem the verizon rep lied to me about my plan she said all my out going calls were free so i should get less minutes to eat the cost of the data plan i was paying 99 bucks a month for data text and 400 mins those mins went quick and the next thing i know i get a thousand dollar bill.
Point:Read what your signing if your dealing with verizon there selling tactics are shady at best they do have the best service and phones and great customer service after you get the phone but they must have a shady sellers training or a tuff quota.

I wouldn't say they are shady so much as uneducated on what they are doing. She may just not have understood what she was selling and ran with it. Unfortunately, you got the short end of the stick. When you are in sales and make a mistake like that, the customer gets hit. But to say all sales representatives are shady or the company is, is kind of wrong. They are a business after all. I think it is the lack of training that kills.

You wanna see shady? Go buy a house. Next thing you know, you find out a child was brutally murdered in the attic, it was built on ancient burial grounds, there's a gateway to hell in the basement, and has termites.


EDIT: The only problem I have had with vzw is their lack of information you get in the stores. I hate going in there to browse because they have no clue what they are selling. There is no ownership in their sales 95% of the time. They try to speak to their products but have no idea what they are saying.

Forget pentile, 4.8" with qHD.... Barf.... That would be the worst thing ever.
