What kind of sim card does the s2 use? Can I use a micro sim?

No, the GS2 uses the standard SIM.

Its cause I have the s3. Ima switch to the s2. Does that mean ima have to get a new number? Or can I take it to any T-mobile store?

T-Mobile should be able to give you a standard SIM so you can keep your number.
