Typical Battery Drain question ??

Hey guys!

1st post here! I am curious, but what is typical battery drain for the s7 Edge?
When I don't use the phone it seems to go down about 5% per hour, idle, and if I use it it goes much quicker. It seems like every text I send takes 1% away.

I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, but it never used to get so low. Days end is now the high 30s from minimal use as I'm afraid to over use it. It used to go 2 days without being charged.

That's waaaay too much. Mine goes down about 5% overnight with AOD on.

I get around 5 hours of screen on time on average on a full charge. Depends what I'm doing though. Sometimes it's closer to 4 hours and sometimes it's closer to 6 hours. Seems the battery got marginally better with Nougat but not by that much really.

In the last hr I only sent 1 text message and 60 minutes ago it was at 67%, now 64%.
But I think that that is too much for and hr of idle. WITH power saver on!

It could also be the radios trying to keep a good connection with the network. If you're in an area with weak network coverage, the radios will work harder to remain connected than they would with good network signal.

Get the Greenify app.
Set it up and let it put the apps to sleep when you set it up..
Go into your battery setting and have it to optimize everything so its not running in the background.
You would be supprised at how much longer the battery will last.
