U11 unlocked US version Oreo update

It didn't have an Edge Launcher either until now. I don't understand why you think a Smart Display update for the u11 can't happen. Especially if htc gets requests from us.

The U11+ uses a different display maybe? The reason the edge launcher works is because it just needs a squeeze which is built in to the U11

Anybody getting random reboots since updating? Hasn't been frequent but my phone has just rebooted on its own 3-4 times in the two weeks since I updated. Also, while Android Pay does work, I always get a Google Services error every time after the transaction is completed. Other than these two things, I am liking the update, my battery life actually slightly improved.

HTC Smart Display is now in the Play Store but is not compatible with the u11. I emailed the developer at gp_smartdisplay@htc.com to request they update it for us.

I have smart display on my U11 you will have to root and install LeeDroid ROM....

Thanks for the reply but that's Greek to me. I might try an app that turns the lock screen on when I pick up the phone.

You can learn that greek easily on xda forum with lots of guides on how to unlock bootloader, install custom recovery and flash a rom you need a computer and would have to say good bye to htc warranty.
