How can I reduce the actual size of selected photos so when imported into a document they don't expand to huge size displacing the print and ruining the resolution of the photo itself?
That's it really. This is on small documents I'm writing on my s7; but I have MS word, Docs etc and it happens in any edit & print program I have. It seems like the more sophisticated the program is, the less it can handle the photos. Tia ciao.

I think you're a bit confused. Actual size of the photos are huge. A 5 megapixel actual print size is 8inchx10inch, easily one short bond paper. With an S7 you got a 12 megapixel photo, so it's going to be way bigger than that.

Welcome to Android Central! You can resize a photo using Snapseed, which is free (since it's from Google).

In addition to the above suggestions, many of the apps for your desktop will let you visually resize the pictures to fit the desired layout. Check the settings and options on your phone apps for similar features.
