UHD (60fps) mp4 Video Only plays on phone

I have been recording some high quality videos in the format UHD (60fps), which save as mp4 in my S9+. They look incredible, but only seem to play on my device.

So far I have tried to send them to multiple iPhones and my Macbook, but they play as a black screen. I even tried VLC player on my macbook pro retina, but only get audio.

Anyone know what's going on and how I can share these with people without degrading quality? This is quite frustrating and oddly I cannot find anyone with the same problem.

So, really you have an Apple issue. If you had a PC I would be telling you to search for a code pack. Post on imore, our sister site and you should get more help over there

Well you would be correct, however it also plays black screen on my PC as well.

Install a codec pack, eg Shark007 or K-Lite and let us know how you get on

.mp4 is a container, not a video format. Try https://www.leawo.org/downloads/blu-ray-player-mac.html on a Mac.
