I think the EVR firmware has the EE app installed and thats about it. The Facebook app was also installed but not sure if that's on stock or not. I wish VoLTE was possible on unbranded firmware but as it isn't, it is definitely worth getting the EVR firmware if you are on EE. I had an unbranded s7 edge before and I put the EVR firmware on it. It makes a much better experience as VoLTE with WiFi calling is great

Correct. If I remember it had the EE app and some security app. Both of which can be uninstalled.
Volte assures I get a signal in places I would not otherwise. Would not be without it.

Just checked updates in the uk on EE branded firmware and December security update came through
