I just updated my AT&T Galaxy Tab to the Italian Gingerbread ROM. No bugs found yet. Performance is MUCH better than any of the stock or Euro Froyo ROMs and about on par with Overcome.
A few more observations: menu animations & screen transitions are much smoother. The stock web browser in particular has improved enormously, especially when rendering complex pages. The GT is even a tad faster to boot and to shut down as well. New startup animation & logo are pretty nifty.
There's also a bit less lag when panning around in the stock camera app but it's still pretty sluggish to focus, take, and process the picture. Stock Android Gallery app is unchanged from what I can tell. GPS seems to be a tad faster to get a lock, though I have admittedly only played with Google Maps for a few minutes. Definitely less lag to the unlock screen as well.
It's not Honeycomb but I wasn't asking for that. For anyone on the fence about upgrading, I recommend doing so. It's nice to see this update arrive since many had written the GT off as dead shortly after its launch last year. Nice to see Samsung stand behind the GT to at least get Gingerbread out. I just hope the CDMA versions Stateside will see updates eventually...
