Just thought some of you might like this. I use it to replace that awful battery icon with a much prettier, and more specific one. I would give you pictures but the site will give you a preview of your own customized set. You can also customize your status bar (with varying success), boot animation, status bar icons other than the battery, and font packs. I have only used the battery but the others seem pretty legit too.

Go over here and check it out.

Tips: You will need your framework-res.apk file from your phone. Instructions to get that are at this linky

If you are on a Gingerbread ROM, you also need the SystemUI.apk and I assume it is obtained the same way as the framework file.

After you click 'submit my work,' you will NOT be given a file right away. WAIT ON THAT PAGE until the file is 'cooked' and then it will give you a link to the flashable .zip

I use Amend scripting, it seems to work better on my phone. I'm using thunderc's recovery, which is probably why.

The older scripting has to be used on the froyo roms as far as I know and you have to use the newer scripting for the CM7 roms. Basically Froyo vs GB.

I have wondered about that site. Any idea what would happen if you try to use the framework-res.apk on a stock, rooted phone without any ROMs or custom recovery. Is it even possible?

The ROM doesn't matter, other than be sure you use the Amend scripting setting since your stock phone is Froyo.

The thread at XDA warns against using the kitchen on stock, odexed roms. I think that means it's not a good idea for people on stock, like myself.
