Ultra wide camera darkens photos and videos

I got a new 4a 5G over the weekend and I love it except for one thing. When I zoom out to 0.6 the camera darkens the picture. I took a video and you could barely see the kitten in the box, but when I zoomed into normal lens it brightened right up. Both these photos are taken using night sight on.

I took some photos just now and it did the same again. Is anyone else having this issue or will I need to return this phone for a replacement?

I bet if you had moved the camera to exclude the TV(?) in the background the picture would have been brighter. It just happened that you composed that view with the glowing screen falling on a sensor near the phone's lens.
