Unable to access lock screen or fingerprint settings

Hi,

I have linked a video that shows the problem.
After the update to Marshmallow, I am unable to access the lock screen or the fingerprints settings. I occasionally randomly get "fingerprint has stopped working" message pop up.

This problem did not start right after the update, maybe two weeks later.

Any suggestions for this bag of ****e, Samsung S6 on EE.

Have you done a factory reset since upgrading the software?

Not yet, was hoping to avoid that. Problem only started a couple of days ago.

maybe you have disabled some services or apps, maybe you are using an app locker, it may be a feature of the launcher you are using...
