Unable to change app drawer icon on Nova

I've been using Nova prime on my S4 for about a year now. Recently updated to the most recent version of Nova, and ever since, I am unable to change (edit) the app drawer icon. I've never had this issue before. Also, there is no problem with editing any of the other icons.
Can anyone offer some insight /advice ? I have already rebooted the phone and it hasn't resolved the issue.

You are pushing and holding the app drawer icon, right?

I use Apex. I know they are different, but they share some similarities. Make sure that the desktop isn't locked , also that "Enable Quick Actions" is checked.
