My Tablet worked fine at work, I did the 3.1 update there. Now that I'm at home, it will not connect to my router. I've even tried disabling the password protection.
Any ideas?

Try resetting your router to factory settings. I've noticed my tablet doesn't always work with every wifi router. Usually I have problems with n series routers.

I may try that, but the thing has been working fine with this router

If you haven't already, try deleting the stored SSID on your tablet for your home router...
Then let your tablet sniff it out again and enter your password/credentials...

Also, what router are you using and what security protocol? Maybe others are having an issue with the update and specific models, etc...

Mine connected fine after the 3.1 update.
I have a Cisco M20, mixed mode, wpa2 mixed mode...

Without going into all the different attempts to correct the problem (resetting routers, clearing settings, etc) I finally had to resort to doing a factory reset on the A500. This resolved the issue.
On a interesting note, factory reset did not remove the 3.1 update. I thought I'd have to re-download.

I'm seeing the same issue. I can also report that a factory reset early this morning let me reconnect to my router at home - but when I got to work, the issue manifested again when attempting to connect to the hot spot here at the office. Again, a factory reset cleared the issue. Pretty nasty work-around if you ask me. Have you opened a ticket with Acer?

I took mine to work just to check if I would have issues with connecting to the wireless. Happy to say that it worked fine for me.
I probably should open a ticket with Acer, just to make them aware that there may be issues.

I've had to factory data reset 5 times now.

After last night's reset, I was so frustrated that I just put the thing down without doing any customization or loading any software.

This morning I have to reset again.

The good news, I guess, is that I can confirm the issue is absolutely not related to 3rd-party software.

Dang it, I'm having the same problem. I'm going to try a reset this evening.

OK, so now I'm really puzzled... I've gone for over 24 hours now without needing to factory data reset...

I finally did a factory reset and that worked. It kind of sucked, because it took a while to get ask my stuff back in order.

I got the same thing. it worked fine at home after the update and now ANYWHERE i try to connect to it freaks out... i've tried about 6different routers and 4 or 5 programs on my phone for tethering as well... it sucks because we cant even use our tablet to ***** to acer about it lol

I had no issues with wireless until this morning. I do not want to do a factory reset but I might be forced to.....

I tried my home network (which had been working after the update until this morning) and my mobile hotspot. It tried to connect, tried to acquire an IP address, then keeps cycling through the same 2 steps. I am going to try at another house later tonite. Not happy about this and it makes no sense to me...

After reading some XDA forums, found several solutions and chose one that worked for me...

Solution 1: Soft reset - Keep tablet turned on, try to connect to your network, then do a soft reset by pressing a paper clip into the reset hole by the USB port. Tab will restart and network connected fine. You lose NO applications. I do not know of any downside or issues doing this..... This worked fine for me.

Other solutions were to root your tab, then delete a dhcp lease file, do a factory reset (lose all your apps) or use static IPs.

Hope this helps.....

I am actually taking my Acer back today because of this issue. Im going to pick up a toshiba thrive instead...

I can't say that I blame you. My issue was resolved with one reset, and it seems to have worked, At least for the past 4 days.
It's frustrating to have to do work arounds on buggy updates. I really think that is just always going to be the norm with any Android tablet for the foreseeable future. We are going to be in a endless cycle of beta testing. That is Google for you.
In the meantime, Apple is killing the market in tablets. If they decide to offer external storage options such as MicroSD or USB on the next iPad, you can bet that that will really cut into an already struggling Android tablet market.

Good luck with the Toshiba. Let us know how it works out for you.
