unable to play videos on computer

HI,
Anyone else having a problem to play the videos from the G2X on their computers? I've tried on both ubuntu and a virtual windows xp and the sound works but the video doesn't. I have been able to play a video from another android device that was 3gp but none of my G2X videos play. They do play fine on the phone however.

Haven't tried yet. Could either be the codec, or because it's such a high resolution.

Update: I have got it to play on a windows 7 computer. I'll try later on mine with lower resolutions. I was able to convert it before but really want to play it native.

After testing with lower resolutions, I guess the 1080 is just too much for my computers. It does work for 720 HD and below. I tried increasing system resolution but no matter what I do I can't get the 1080 to play on mine natively.
