Unable to save picture received via text

It seems like ever since the update or at least around the same time, I can no longer save pictures via web or elsewhere. whenever i long hold the screen and do save image as i have always done, it does not save the pictures anywhere in my gallery and does not even show that they were downloaded in the status bar. I still have memory on the phone and sd card so not sure what to do!!!! any help is appreciated

When I get a mms message and I try to save the pic, it won't work. I know how to save it. I hold on the pic and hit save attachment. Then I check mark the box and hit save. But then it says that no SD card detected. The pic doesn't save. I have also tried to formatted the SD card too and retry to save the pic but same thing happens, it say no SD card detected. Any help?

If you tap and hold on the right of the message where it shows the pictures size in kilobytes, While tapping and holding you will see the outside color change to a darker color. then release the tap and it will open a window. This confused me for a bit because I was tapping and holding on the actual picture itself, this just opened it into the gallery view. So ya tap and hold on the border of the message, not on the picture itself in anyway. outside the picture. Good luck!

I figured it out! While viewing the image in your text messages ... don't click on the image to view it... hold down on the image. The image will go blue and it will put a check box on the left of it. A row of new icons appears at the top of the screen. Press on the diskette type image (2nd icon from the left). The "save attachment" page comes into view. Click on the icon on the far right beside the words "Save attachment". A message will come up saying image saved. Woo hoo !!

I'm trying to save a picture that I received in a text message and unable to do so. I used to be able to just long press the picture and have the option to save it. Now I have no options. Clicking on the menu doesn't bring up any options either. Does anyone know how I can save the picture?

I came to this post to figure it out. Go into your main screen that shows all of the texts from that person. Instead of holding on the picture long hold on the border around the picture. It should bring up a screen with the menu tab and trash can. Click on the tab and hit save attachment

I just figured it out just now! Do not long press on the picture, instead long press on the white background either left or right side. The message option menu will come up.

Hi,

I had the same problem and finally figured it out. The hard menu under the picture has an option of "attached items." Click on that, and it will give you the save option. You first select the image file, then click SAVE.

Hope this is not too late.

just got new phone and having the problem no menu option underneath and other choices but save attachment come up when hold down thumbnail of pic in text.
well after I replied I figured it out swear it wasn't there before. holding down on thumbnail then three little dots there will be save option (I don't recall seeing that)
