Unable to start Wi-Fi error

I was trying to use my brothers wi-fi at his house the other day when I noticed an error trying to enable it. I kept getting a message saying that it was unable to start the wi-fi. While I don't use it all that much, I do from time to time.

I have never rooted or downloaded any custom apps or anything not from the Android marketplace.

Anyone have any suggestions?
