unable to unlock the pattern lock! Help!

My commando is locked and my son forgot the pattern he used. Any way to unlock without the pattern?

It should give you the option to unlock with your gmail account. I had that happen to me once.

Try guessing it and get it wrong 3 times, that should bring up the option to unlock with gmail account.
