Hi everyone !
I have got a Galaxy Tab 2 for a few years, I just updated the device this weekend for the first time. It downloaded the new OS (4.0.3 => 4.2.2) (quite a lot of data, almost 800mb). But after the download, I could install it. I got an error message stating "Uable to update new software because device is encrypted. To update, change setting to decrypt." Well, it is not encrypted. I checked in Settings > Security > Encrypt device. Strangely, on this page, I have instructions to encrypt the device, as if it wasn't thus, but the button to encrypt is grayed so it seems it is not possible to actually encrypt it. I am lost, an idea anyone ?

Sorry if that problem has been asked already.
Thanks to all in advance !

I had the same thing, and I could solve it by removing some files on the device (I only had 200MB left). It seems that error occurs when there's not enough space to unpack and install the update. Good luck!
