Unable to view (download) a group message sent to me

I have two contacts that often send group messages of which I am part of. I get a notification on my Moto G4 that a MMS is ready to download. When I click on the message, the icon shows activity but fails to download leaving a message in red saying it can't be downloaded and that I should try again. The two people have android phones. I have talked to the carrier tech team of Consumer Cellular and then helped me set up Cellular Network Settings>Access Point Names thinking that would solve the problem but it has not. Any ideas?

Check your APN settings against what's on their website. Go here and type APN in the question box, then select the only option. https://www.consumercellular.com/help/billing
