Unable to view picture in picture mails

My brother has a Note 5 and whenever he sends me a picture mail, I just receive a white square where the picture would normally be. Anyone know what's going on?

What app are you using to receive the pictures?

Just the one that came with the phone. I go into my text messages and its there.

So you're talking about MMS messages in the Messaging app, and not actual emails, correct? MMS requires mobile data (3G/4G) to be turned on--is it? MMS doesn't work over wi-fi or voice signal.

I have Sprint. Yes, the MMS picture mail that loads in the same area as text messages. I receive picture mails fine from everyone else, just not my brother. I can't figure it out.

I'm not sure. I'm also getting text messages late. For example, if someone sends me a text message that is over the 160 character limit (two text messages or more in length), the text will be split up into two messages and separated by 5 minutes.

Sounds like a sprint issue. Restart your phone so it has to reconnect to the towers.

A number of our family and friends are living in the Apple world. It can be interesting at time receiving text messages from them when we are both addressed on the text. There can be significant differences in arrival times - as much as an hour. Last week, I received a picture of the new truck about a hour later than it arrived on the other phone. This seems to be an issue with material coming from the Apple orchard. At least that is the area it has been noticed.
