So...Verizon has an accessories application. It's been legit. For example, I have used it to purchase batteries. You proceed through the process and it tells you that you are paying full pop for the item until you get to the confirmation page where it drops the price of the item. No problem. The other day I perused the "Sale" section of the app and saw a stereo bluetooth device on sale for $0. What the heck...I wouldn't use the device but my sis might enjoy it. I wasn't greedy...I didn't ask for 10 of them. Just one. I went through the process and hit the confirmation page and, lo and behold, it charged me almost full price. It did give me five dollars off, which is the actual online discount. I was informed that since I "knew" what the final price was going to be, they would not honor the advertised price. I politely explained that how the application works when purchasing the batteries. Made no difference. I then politely told him what to do with himself and ended the call. I then opened up the app and discovered the device still advertised at $0. It would be cool if everyone ordered the device, filed a complaint and returned the device for a refund. Problem with that is that Verizon will figure out a way to charge their customers for their mistake. Kind of like all of us waiting for the promised ICS upgrade. Corporations are the minions of satan.
