Uncomfortable corners

Just got my N5 today and this is going to sound beyond lame, but is anyone else noticing the seam where the back casing meets the chassis on the bottom corners is really rough/sharp and abrasive?

It's literally hurting my palms when I move my hand around to reach other parts of the screen and my palm rubs the corner.

Other than that I love the build quality and feel of the phone. Seeing as I hadn't heard any reviews complain about (and I don't have abnormal or overly sensitive hands) I have to wonder if I got a "defective" or anamolous device.

Thoughts?

P. S. I know it's going to be hard to resist making a "you're holding it wrong" iPhone joke...

I had one that was sharp on the bottom left corner. It was very uncomfortable to hold. I exchanged it for a different one and it doesn't t have that problem

I have to agree. Even if you hate the idea of protecting your phone with a case there are some very minimalistic designs.

I mean, that would solve the problem. My question is, should it be necessary or do I have a phone with split (or otherwise messed up) seams or something It's certainly possible I have soft hands, but after prolonged one-handed use it's actually leaving a mark. And, i'd argue that the center of one's palms is always pretty soft. If almost no one else is experiencing this kinda thing it seems more likely to be a singular defect in my phone.

Probably a defect. Exchange it

Given that, I'd have to agree, "it seems more likely to be a singular defect in my phone."

Alright, an exchange it is! Thanks for the help all. And what a comical sounding exchange reason for google haha

I'm not exactly advocating that you be dishonest but you may wish to embellish a little. Hasn't your phone been repeatedly randomly rebooting also? :)

Mine is the same way I wouldn't let it get to you put a case on it..I have call Google and asked them why is the power button wobbly and all they said is we can send you a replacement I just wanted an answer no help at all.. But dont worry about it if it bothers you call them get a new one but I think it will be the same thing..

The lip between front glass to side is noticably 'not smooth' on my phone. I think that's the way it is. Almost as if the lip of the sides is higher than the front glass (as if the glass front is sucken in ever so slightly).

I figure this is normal.

Yeah, I have that too. That's not the problem. I'm talking about the seam where the back (what would be the battery door if it was removable) meets the rest of the phone.

I thought I was the only one and attributed it to being a sissy, haha, but I do know exactly what you're saying. Especially when I'm browsing in bed and holding it with one hand, the corner just digs into my palm and it hurts lol

Mine feels very smooth. In fact, I thought the back and sides were one piece. Now, after looking closely I see a small seam but can not feel it.

Return???

EXACTLY! Now at least I know I'm not on crazy pills hah. But another palm-hurt owner muddies the waters a bit. Defect? Or something only us of the more sensitive hands are attuned to? I gotta think this is not the way it's supposed to be. Unfortunately, I don't readily have access to more to compare. I guess we'll see what google says.
