Samsung Prime. Gonna go out on a limb and say that VZ's version isn't a Nexus. Jerry will tell you how right he was all along. ;)

if it's locked up and bloated, not only will they lose the respect of droidmodderx fanatics, they are compromising everything the nexus stands for Imo.

Proves even Google makes mistakes.

Omap is an awesome processor. Its way better than snapdragon. They couldn't use exynos because it doesn't work well with lte. And tegra. Well Google already had their experience with tegra.

I'm just going off of reviews/tests of the E4GT and other phones with the Exynos and how amazingly fast the phone is. The OMAP might be fine, but just like with most other things being manufactured, if the two parts are all made in house by the same manufacturer, things just work better than slapping in a part from another manufacturer.

Like I said, I will wait to either test myself or read the reviews/tests when it's released.

Do you think they just slap it in or maybe a billion dollar company with a consumer electronics pedigree might actually test the product with another vendor's part before releasing to market?

Especially since the phone is a torch for Google's reputation.

The Nexus will not have bloat or a skin.

Please take the sentence above and spam it on every single page that has to do with the Nexus. The Nexus is the stage where Google debuts Android. Why in hell would they let anyone add bloat to it?!

Take a look at some reviews for the Archos G9, it has a dual core OMAP running at 1ghz, it handles high bitrate 1080p stuff fine.

Now, if the Prime has the 4460, it has a faster CPU, higher clocked GPU etc.

So yes, I am fine with OMAP being used.
