I'm really curious as to how my phone SHOULD behave when transitioning from 3g to 4g, in a 4g environment.
A) I get into my car, pull out of my garage. Pop my phone in my dock, start my google music app that streams music to my phone. Keep in mind my residential area only has 3g so when i leave my house, my phone is still on 3g.
Now here is what i'm trying to understand.... Lets say while my phone is on 3g and my phone is using 3g streaming data and i drive into an area that I know is for sure covered by 4g... Is my phone supposed to switch to 4g WHILE my data is in use?
I've noticed on my phone will just stay in 3g, unless i stop the app from streaming music and give my phone a couple minutes of doing nothing, then it will switch to 4g.. Is this normal for the gnex to do this?
Im just curious because this is the first 4g phone ive owned and..yeah this kind of bugs me.
edit: i thought i should state why this bugs me.. Simply 3g cannot keep up with the rate of streaming the mp3s to my phone.
