Unexplained Battery Drain

Basically it was steady then dropped dramatically and kept going but then as soon as I start using it again like with screen on the battery is fine like going down slow screenshots attached.

Hey Alf, have you tried any of the battery monitoring apps? If you're experiencing poor battery performance it's got to be one of two things. Either you have apps/hardware that are sucking it dry or you have a bad battery (or you're a phone using maniac!! LOL). Personally, I use GSam. Gives me a lot of good information about battery use. After a little tweaking I now get great battery life. Just checked my phone and per GSam, after 1h 18m I'm still at 99%. Yeah, I only sent a couple of texts and made one short phone call, but that's still pretty good by my standards.

Yeah I've tried I've only got a few launchers Facebook Twitter Instagram Snapchat and Plume installed should I delete the unused launchers will they be using battery even if I'm using TouchWiz.

All that app tells me is android system is using a lot.

instagram is a notorious battery killer. make sure you swipe it away or stop the program when not in use. also check if your sync icon is on. that will drain your battery too.
