Unfortunately, Calendar storage has stopped

I have a Note 6, SM-G920V running Android 6.0.1 and I keep getting this message repeatedly. I have gone to my App Manage to clear cache, but that only helps for a short while. I saw a post similar to this on the Note 4 forums, but it really didn't give much of a solution (aside from clear cache). I generally don't use any calendar apps on this particular phone, so I am fine with going nuclear on the calendar app if I can figure out how to get rid of it.

Other data that may be of note:
New phone (not refurb)
Only have the calendar app that came default with the phone
I have all options off in the settings
Basically I am denying calendar access to everything and anything

If someone would be so kind as to give me a simple step by step guide to fix this, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums. Samsung makes it hard to go the nuclear route. There is an app on Play called Package disabler for Samsung devices. As I recall, it's a paid app, but it allows you to disable a lot of Samsung apps.

Otherwise, did you go into recovery to clear the cache?

Tanks for the welcome. Didn't know about the app, but given how annoying this pop up is, I may spend the money. :)

And yeah, I also went to recovery to clear the cache. Again, that helps for a while, then it starts happening again.

Hopefully it works. Let us know if it doesn't.

almost certain that if you enable all the permissions for it the calendar app will stop crashing
