My g3 is about 3 months old.Started to get the error message "Unfortunately setting shas stopped"it would just pop up randomly not long after i wake up the phone, usually happens twice then doesn't reappear?Settings works perfectly incidentally, this error just pops up at random times?
So i thought i'll just put up with it,until, new version of lg sofware pops up(lollipop),i hav a true hatred about updatingf 'anything',im my expereince thats when problems start, but i thought to hell with it,i'll do it,what harm can it do?Its 'just' an update, right?
I do the update and everything got really laggy, keyboard types gobbledygook etc.'and' surprise, surprise error message reappeared!!Bit the bullet and decided to do a hard reset, done this, went well enough, but i was stunned after two days of usage, and having downloaded 'no' apps, the unfortunately setting has stopped error appeared again, why??Plus email client doesn't recognise and setup the email address i've been using for the last three months!!Its been reset damnit!wish i had just left it how it was..

The only thing I can think of is to reboot into recovery to wipe the cache partition. However, I am seeing conflicting articles on how to reboot into recovery.

Although a couple sources I have found all state that and ADB command into recovery should get your there.

Not so many issues as you but since lollipop I get the settings stopped message and chrome is seriously laggy and crashes often.

Fed up.

I don't know why so many problems are being reported maybe they are carrier version related... I have a d855 international and i guess I am lucky that my device is pretty much problem free.

Have you tried a factory reset as that sorted all of my issues. Loving lollipop after initially hating what it had done to my phone.

I know Lollipop is not available at all in the U.S. yet, but in the countries where it has shipped has the 5.0.1 version come out yet? I've heard that people who were having headaches with 5.0 on other phones had most of their problems go away when 5.0.1 showed up, which may cause me to hold off on updating when Lollipop does appear over here until LG pushes 5.0.1.

I have sorted my chrome issue by turning off "merge tabs and app's setting.

Multiple pages open now with no issues.
