I Had the same issue with my s3, and if it wasn't for you finding the download manager at the bottom of the page and you posting it like you did, I would be stuck at a dead end! So big thanks!! :)

I went to settings, then app manager...then select all....scroll down to the last item (download manager) and enable it. I am very happy...

I have a problem with the google process gapps has stopped and I restarted the device so many times and it doesn't let me download or open the play store and it has been doing this for 3 days :mad:

I had the same problem and I found this solutio for Facebook (build 144481) showing in taskbar, won't go away

Here's how to clear it:
* Open your App.Drawer and Open "Downloads"
* Click/Check the Facebook Download
* Delete

Hi I am having this message on my screen "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped". How do I correct this?

So glad this thread this was here! I had disabled my download manager when Farcebook was trying to sideload their app to my phone over data network. It was the only way to get it to stop long enough to delete the mobile app. Reminder: your disabled apps reside at the bottom of the app list! It took me forever to remember this. On SGN2 go to Settings>Application manager>all> scroll to bottom, find Android download (not the phone downloads)>click "enable"

Hey guys, if you're easily confused (like me) just uninstall your last 5 apps. if it still persists, uninstall the next 5, it'll work eventually as it's a glitch hidden in certain apps with the most common ones anything to do with picture editing.

Hope this helps...
