I get this prob ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!! I can't find a way ANYWHERE to fix it, so I have to factory reset my tablet every few weeks. Its way worse for me, tho. After it starts doing "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." for a while, then it will start saying it for EVERYTHING!!!!!! Hangouts, Play store, Play music, ANYTHING I have installed on there untill I get sick of it and factory reset!!!!!! :mad:plzzzzzz help!!!!!
I have noticed, tho, that It will not start until my wifi turns on (which takes a while sometimes), so that might have something to do with it...

I had the same problem, that popup kept popping up and after pressing Report on OK it kept popping back up, couldn't do anything.
I rebooted the phone several times and I noticed when prompted for the pin an little Alert triangle was on the left top corner.
I went online to this forum, turned off the phone and plugged it in the power outlet for charging, left it for a few minutes, then turned it back on and did not input my pin, after a few minutes the triangle disappeared, I typed the pin and the problem was gone.
Try retracing my steps maybe your problem will disappear also.

I was reluctant to mess with the Play Store apps because of prior problems. But I did what you suggested, and the problem is gone! Thanks!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Notes 2 and have this error message (Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped. Two buttons "Report" and "OK". Regardless of which I click on, the message just reappears and I can't power off my phone or get beyond this error message to do anything on my phone. My AT&T store tried to help but couldn't fix this, I went to a Mobile phone tech service center and they couldn't either. Any ideas of how to fix this since I can't even access anything on my phone?

hi, my son has a samsung tab3, got it for christmas. last week this message started popping up. it got so bad you could not even go into settings directly without shutting the message away for it only to pop up again before you had time to click on anything else. i tried the advice above, clearing all the data from all the google related apps, nothing. then i deleted his email account, restatred the tab and did it again. nothing. then i went in again went into settings - apps - all - google play services - disabled which then got me to uninstall it, the message stopped! i then re-enabled it, got out, restarted the tab, no more message. fingers crossed it will stay that way. hope it helps xx

I've been having the same exact problem for past week now. I tried everything but keeps doing it at random times. Every time I unlock my screen to use it pops up. I need to fix this before I go crazy please help.

i'm using a Samsung Note 2, and keep getting the popup "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" with only 2 options = OK & Report. clicking either would bring up the same box in <1 sec, and it keeps popping up!!!

I've tried clearing the cache & data of Google Play, Google Play Services.
I've tried "Reset App Preferences"

does anyone have any suggestions? much appreciated, thank you.

I had this problem crop up on my rooted (but stock rom/recovery) Nexus 7 (2013) Wifi about 10 days ago. I scoured the forums, and I tried everything I read that might help, including every suggestion that I read about in the 21 pages of this very forum thread. It's clearly related to network or syncing or google accounts, but it's not worth agonizing over, really. I flashed the whole official factory image and re-rooted (using WugFresh' fantastic tool). It's now working just as it should, no issues, no more throwing annoying 'Unfortunately...' errors, and bonus: I lost no data or settings. :D

i have tried all the suggested solutions but the problem is still there?
How do I update the gooole play services?
