Try wiping the cache partition. If that doesn't work you might need to do a hard reset. Make sure you back everything up first. Samsung really seems to have screwed the pooch on this update.

As I've already mentioned updates on my Nexus 5X have been trouble free.

How do I wipe the cache and by hard reset do you mean factory reset?

The procedure for getting into recovery mode and wiping the cache partition will vary slightly from device to device. Try Googling for "S7 recovery mode". It's normally holding the power button and volume up button while the phone is off will get you into the bootloader and from there you can get into recovery. And yes by hard reset I meant factory reset.
