Went to Best Buy today and checked out the S6. Really disappointed. Sure it is a bit thinner...the screen is of course really nice. But the keyboard, the kickstand..etc....all really cheap feeling. Sorry, I really wanted to like this, but will pass.

I don't know about the keyboard or stand. But I am very impressed. Now that is coming from a S3 and LG V30. (I upgraded my phone to the Note 10+). Having the same total ecosystem is great.
In my view the S6 is super snappy, right from the boot up. The screen, well there's nothing wrong, period.
I'm totally in love.

I'm the opposite! I really wanted to hate this so I would NOT spend that cash!

I respect your opinion though I'm curious to know if you tried any of the other features on the tab itself (other than the screen)? I do understand that the keyboard and book cover are major components (especially if this is to be a laptop replacement for some), but as someone like myself who'll use the Tab S6 in so many different ways.... could you let me know if there are any other compelling reasons for you being disappointed with this device?

I've been using it off and on since yesterday and this thing is a little beast! Now I went into this realizing that I have two weeks to change my mind and return it so I not going to try to justify a purchase I'm not satisfied with. Also, I haven't seen or heard many complaints in the reviews I've seen. But with that said your statement makes me want to go back into best buy and check these 2 accessories out when I have time or they get them in. Especially since I've pre-ordered them.

I've had pretty much every Samsung device with an S Pen, and I love this one. Finally feels like a mature product. But to each their own. There's always the iPad pro, which is an amazing device. Maybe that's your alternative.

You do realize that you can, you know, get a different keyboard or case with kickstand? You don't need to use Samsung provided ones.

Does the S6 and Note 10+ allow Call & Continuity on Verizon?
Purchased the S6 last night to find the feature I wanted the most isn't available on my note 8, about to upgrade now through Verizon and want to ensure it works.

On Samsung's website it says T-Mobile and Sprint only, but I've been using Verizon messages for years for call and text feature which works great.

Verizon typically blocks these features. I bought an unlocked note 10 for Verizon, and it works great. If you buy a verizon branded note 10, it may not work. Actually, I'm 90% sure it won't.

Hi..great questions. I think I was really disapointed with the case and the whole sticky approach to attaching the back kickstand. Feels really cheap to do that, and not sure it will last the test of time.

i have been spoiled a bit with an iPad Pro and their keyboard. it does not have trackpad, so I was really looking forward to this. Maybe I need to go and pick one up and use it for a week. I would love to ditch the iPad as I am loving the Note10+. So the continuity features on Apple does not matter to me as much any more. But the fact that ATT disabled Continuity on their branded devices...well that adds one my turn on this journey LOL.

Thank you and thanks for responding. And now I'm hearing as as reading about some of the issues you mention. Also now I have a more thorough understanding (thanks to another member) of the continuity issue you speak of. Neither is a dealbreaker for me to keep my tab, but I may not keep the keyboard and I can make calls and text from my tab through Verizon without the continuity feature. But if you're accustomed to using these things on a regular bases and you feel one's cheaply made and then find that one feature is now missing... I get it. Thanks again for explaining.

Good Luck!

Can't say I'm not impressed. I have the S4, and for performance, I'm very impressed. But its heavier than I was hoping for. With the S6, its more ipad like, yet will perform every bit like the S4. My keyboard cover arrives this morning so I will see the combination. One thing that does scratch at me though....not the thinness...but rather....at some point, to be a power production device as well as a cool toy, you can't get too narrow. The S6 boarders on too narrow. I thought the S4 might be narrow enough....the S6 is more narrow. If I send it back, it will be because of this.

That said, the face unlock and the fingerprint unlock....are a pretty cool addition. Also, fell off the bed the yesterday when my phone rang and the tablet did too!!!! hahahahaha

So you think the S6 is heavier than the tab S4?

no....its lighter, but also narrower. I think to be an effective consumer device and retain the ability to be a work device....it has to take care to not get too narrow

Ok I was like it's definitely lighter lol. It is more narrow I just haven't really paid attention. Like that it's more compact while still providing the same screen ratio.

Is there a way to adjust screen ratio? Or is that an Android phone thing?

I'm impressed by the hardware but Android for an OS just doesn't cut it at that price point for me. DeX might save it, but I'm not gambling that much money.

Yup...so I used S6 for a solid 8 days. I really did like the tablet. The hardware was very good. Pen...great! Keyboard, horrible. Everything about the keyboard is bad imho. From the poorly spaced keys, to the weird attach to the back of the device....very poorly designed. the kicker for me was having to take keyboard off in order to use the onscreen keyboard when it was pulled back. (yes you can invoke onscreen keyboard all the time, but that is just stupid).

So...took it back. Staying with Note10 as my phone...and iPad Pro as table. really wanted to switch completely, but with continuity disabled with ATT...that was never gonna happen anyway. shame

Just reading that LG V30 gives me the heeby jeebies. The worst phone ever.

I'd like to find an excuse to get it...but I never use DEX - except to try it out once - and I very rarely use the pen. How much of a factor is the updated processor?
