Uninstall Google Currents

Heard google currents slows down tablet should it be uninstalled. what does it do how will uninstalling it effect things? thx, kjk

If you aren't experiencing any problems and don't even know what it is/does, you have no cause for concern.

If you are still worried about it, you can disable the app but not uninstall it.
Settings>Apps>Either "Downloaded" or "All">Currents>Disable.

The concern with Currents is the background sync. Supposedly in 4.2 its the reason for battery drain so you go into setting and uncheck sync. If you're not using it, disabling in apps is probably better.

just clear data/cache and dont open it ever. disabling could make it worse.

Make apps system apps. Uninstall system apps. Batch backup. Batch restore. Save backups to cloud as well as card. Support the developer. To name a few
