Universal Voice recognition

Hey guys noob question i notice the speech recognition symbol in alot of places but it seems they are used only for that particular thing. Is there some sort of widget that accepts all commands?

Vlingo is a pretty cool speech recognition software that is free for Android phones.

It is a more general voice control than for filling in specific fields.

Also, you can get to it quick by going to the Sprint tab of the market on your phone. It should be there.
