unknown icon in taskbar (samsung galaxy s3 shv e210l korean version)

hi all, i'm in need for help in troubleshoot this 2 problems :-
1. unknown icon in taskbar as shown in the picture below.
2. phone keep rejected call in (every sim card). is it related to the first problem?

Hello and welcome to the forums!

Are you using Wi-Fi calling? That app looks similar to one I've seen posted about before, and IIRC it had something to do with Wi-Fi calling.

Regarding your SIM question - is anything else working correctly (mobile data, etc)? You seem to have a 'no signal' icon in the Status bar right next to the one you're inquiring about. Have you contacted your carrier?

hello GSDer... tq for your quick reply. i'm not sure about that "wifi calling", but could you tell me how to disable it. i never seen that icon before and have no idea how to disable it.

about my sim problem, everything else working fine accept call in. i can call out, sms, mms, data like normal. the only problem is every call in has been block or something. but i never set call block for that phone. about that picture, actually there is no coverage while i take the screenshot.

Weird. You could try booting into Safe mode http://support.verizonwireless.com/support/devices/knowledge_base.html/59242 to see if that icon goes away, or to see if incoming calls go through.

Does the phone ring when an incoming call comes in (and is blocked)?
What do the people who are calling you hear? Normal ringing? Do they get sent straight to voicemail?

i think that is for video call, its not supported in your roaming area

go to root browser system/app/ then rename the IMSFramework.apk to IMSFramework.apk.bak and restart your phone thats it!

That unknown icon is called DIRECT CALL .

Follow Step to disable that ICON
Phone must be ROOTED
Need Rootexplorer.apk

STEP1-open the rootexplorer.apk

STEP2-Find the SYSTEM file then open it

STEP3-Find the CSC file then open it

STEP4- Rename the sales_code.dat to sales_code.dat.bak


After rename REBOOT YOUR PHONE.

Just Follow my STEPS .if you get wrong steps you get BOOTLOOP
