Unknown Sources affect Android Pay?

For some reason my Android Pay doesn't work. I just remembered I had my "Unknown Sources" turned on. Will that cause Android Pay not to work?

Welcome to the forums. I think it would. Almost any security hole will cause Pay to stop working.

I have unknown sources enabled on my 6P and Android Pay works just fine.

Its not android pay but when I got my S5 NFC didnt work because I cut my old sim card and installed it. I needed to get a sim that was NFC compatible.

Your sim card could potentially be the problem.

Yep, unknown sources should not affect Android Pay as long as you're not rooted.

Your sim card could potentially be the problem.

That is device-dependent. In the case of you S5, I think the NFC chip was in the SIM card. Other devices, such as Motorolas and the Nexus devices, use an NFC chip on the logic board rather than in the SIM card.

Android Pay works just fine with unknown sources checked on my Moto X Pure.
