Unlimited data plan will be forced to switch to tied plan due to 200gb data usage?

https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/co...ered_unlimited_data_plans_are_being/?sort=new

according to the people who received the letter on reddit, they got nowhere after contacting Verizon. they claim they have never used more than 50gb in the last several years.

I wouldn't expect them to give up easily. Even getting a refund for a phone return took me many calls over several months and finally had to go through executive Relations and even that took me a month.

I have 2 line on unlimited out of contract. Does anybody know if it's 200 GB per line or is it a combination of both line?

I would imagine it's one line but both lines could be affected. Also it may very well be a 100gb used at any point in the past and not 200gb.

If you use that much data you deserve to be dropped off of the network and you should be off internet work. That is a blatant abuse of the network insane I don't even use that on my home wifi with five different devices.

For a home internet connection it isn't unreal.. especially if you stream and have multiple people in the house. I average around 500-600 (somewhere in there) GB a month on my home internet with just me.

My point exactly is called an unlimited mobile data plan not meagnt to take the place of your home Wi-Fi I don't care if you don't want to pay for home Wi-Fi

Yeah i would guess that they would get anyone on Contract ride out the contract but given that they ended contracts... The longest you have is two years.

on the other hand, if one wishes to get out of contract
without paying the ETF, just use as much data as
humanly possible until Verizon cancels it? :)

there can't be that many people left... they stopped
offering 2-year contracts for buying phones at discounted
pricing only this year. Verizon just has to wait out another
22 months until *everybody* is out of contract. :)

Knowing Verizon they will then cancel you and charge you etf anyway... Whether or not they are legally or contractually allowed to do it might not really matter... Might be a long battle
