Unlink two gmail account calendars

[Android Central Question]

I have two gmail accounts - one personal and one organization. On my desktop when I switch between gmail accts only those calendars associated to that account appear in the calendar. On my android phone, both account's calendars appear in the calendar for both accounts. What am I missing, and how do I make my calendars on my phone behave like the ones on my desktop?

I want both accounts to sync events, but for those events to only appear in the associated accounts's calendar. If I hide a calendar from either account, it is hidden in both acct calendars, and when I unhide it it shows in both! Thank you.

"Did you share the work calendar with your personal Google account at some point?" That's possible, but they act independently on my PC.

And if so, I should be able to "un-share" i.e. disconnect them again?

Log into your work Google account on a computer, then go to Google Calendar in the browser. Click the 3-dot menu button right next to the calendar in question, then Settings & Sharing. Scroll down to the Share with Specific People section -- is your personal Google account listed there?
