Unlock Screen Lag?

Yup same here. kinda annoying, like the lock screen itself.

Download "No Lock". Gets rid of the lock screen.

I don't even understand what the lock screen is for. Is it to prevent butt dialing when the phone is in your pocket? Considering the only way to turn this phone on is that tiny button on the side, which requires a decent amount of pressure to do so, I can't imagine it ever turning on accidentally.

If any one has noticed this lag occurs when an sd card is installed tested it on four s2s same results

The lag (2 sec) when pushing the power button on my htc sensation dissolved by doing the following:
go to settings - about phone - notify htc (manufacturer). by ticking this off lag was gone!

I'll also contribute to this thread in that my nexus 4 has unlock lag virtually every single time I unlock the phone. It's running stock jellybean and the fact that it has no SD card should rule out the idea that THAT would be causing it.

The funny thing is, if I turn the screen off by hitting the power button and then immediately turn it back on/unlock the phone, there's zero lag. It makes me believe that there is a bit of credibilty to the power state idea. The device does have a couple second delay after waking up where it has no signal/network.

I'm wondering if that is indeed what the main cause of this is and if there is any way to bypass this without trying to force the phone to never hibernate?? I'm not using any sort of battery saving app or anything like that and no other apps aside from weatherbug that would rely on grabbing a network signal to update info on unlock but the phone had the unlock lag right out of the box before I installed that.

FWIW, my nexus 7 (also stock android 4.2.1) does all this as well.

I run nova launcher prime on both devices and checking the option to cache homescreen does not reduce or eliminate the amount of lag on an unlock.

So when I hit the power button to turn on the screen it literally takes nearly 2 seconds for my lock screen to pop up. I've had the phone since Saturday but I didn't notice the lag until yesterday...maybe it's been like that all along and I just didn't realize it. I've power cycled the phone just to be sure I didn't have a resource issue.

So, is this normal and if not anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
