Unlock US Cellular Moto X to use on Verizon

I have Moto X from US cellular, the only service I get where I live is Verizon. I would like to unlock my phone from US Cellular and get a Verizon plan.

First is this possible and second how do I go about doing it?

I believe it may be possible, but depending on where you live, you might only get 3G. The US Cellular model uses different LTE bands, except for the AWS band, and I don't think Verizon has turned that on everywhere.

What is the reason why this doesn't work? Its very frustrating, my friend purchased the phone with no contract from US Cellular for $700. We realize this was a mistake now. Could you explain why, so I could at least understand why they aren't compatible? Thank you

Verizon doesn't allow any non verizon branded phone to be activated on its network.

It is possible I have a us cellular moto x and it is unlocked. I am with Verizon, I have a Verizon Sim card in and works great. But..yes as of now I am only running 3g. Hoping soon I can get it with 4g but im on wifi quite a bit so really no a huge issue. Hope this helps.

i have one moto x us cellular and i wanna unlock it for using with gsm, but i don´t know how.
