unlocked and rooted?

Is there any advantage to unlocking and rooting this phone. It already does so much with out it.

I unlocked and rooted my HTC 10 which made it even better. On this phone I don't feel that it would be beneficial. I'm just wonder if anyone else has is it that much better.

The custom ROM market isn't very big for honor as compared to HTC. I fear that it's not as well developed.

While I see, may be due to poor notifications management in EMUI 4.1, you would want to root and load a custom ROM provided you are ready to sacrifice Android Pay or knuckle gestures or dual lens features or smart assistance, I don't see any need to root and load a ROM when EMUI 5.0 released. EMUI 5.0 is pretty good and has many features!
