Unlocked from Overseas, or Best Buy, or Tmo Eventually, or None

Hello, can someone help me sort thru all of this.

I am not a pro like you all, rather a novice in spite of whether my posts are higher or lower

I wanted the Galaxy Nexus, aka Nexus Prime when GSM so I hear.

Am I correct on that.

I got the Galaxy S2 on Tmobile because I didn't see the release date in sight for the Galaxy Prime in any of the above listed ways

Now I see it briefly mentioned coming to Best Buy in ads labeled "Verizon Exclusive, not exactly..." and I also see it coming to many sites unlocked. Negri , MobileCityOnline, etc

Now I am leary about buying a phone without a decent warranty, especially since we are getting better phones, and even tho coming down, they are still expensive cause they come with more

One Tmobile rep said their handset protection plan would not cover any bought elsewhere. Yet, I remember last year, I was totally misinformed the same way and then was told by a manager, yes it covers both phones I was carrying, MT4G and Nexus S from Best Buy. Any phone I was using.

Which of that is true

Then Negri says It has a one year warranty, which scared me, but I figure, thats all we really get with Tmo without the handset protection. But do they fix it and you have to wait

And MobileCity says there is NO US warranty for this item

I jumped the guy and have listed this on Ebay after one day used it for only hours then put in box
Should I count on No protection, or no good protection anyway, and take off the listing. And wait on Best Buy, where there is no date in sight. I hear that's the only place Tmo would sell theirs anyway

If anyone would advise, I'd be most grateful. If I seem anxious, I am LOL, but not really LOL :)

Galaxy Nexus is indeed coming in two variants. LTE (for Verizon) and GSM (for the rest of the world).

T-Mobile as far as I know does not have a release date for the Galaxy Nexus. Nobody knows if Verizon has a time exclusivity or not (e.g. that Verizon gets it for a few months before the rest of the USA carriers). Regardless if they do or not the world will be selling a GSM version (starting in Nov 17 in the UK, I don't know for the USA). I have no idea about warranty. I usually just buy a SquareTrade warranty.

Thanks Laughing man, all could have been solved if I had just remembered a third party warranty

I still dont know tho. a guy at Tmo told me last year that I could not be covered for the Nexus S cause first it was thru Best Buy, and next cause it was my second line. A manager confirmed, so I thought, that any phone I bought new with proof of purchase that I USE would be covered.

But I did take it off sale on Ebay, not knowing what to do or when it would be out, and not wanting to use a ten year old phone for awhile, and really having to scrounge an extra $150 over what I would have. Also, as I was told by to popular blogs and I see for myself, which phone is better is a matter of taste. Whether you like stock or while the old touchwiz sucked, the new one is great, or want an 8 or 5 mp camera and 1.2 or 2 mp in front, or want the new OS, ICS, or can wait, or wanna bet on whether it will have any bugs. Tmo will get it sometime. So, why not stick with the best phone TODAY, and get it in the future. I don'thave to have it first. One of those bloggers flat out said that the Galaxy s2 is better for a few reasons. Again, subjective. For me, waiting , with this anxiety and being unsure is the best thing to do. ;)

Thanks again

(btw, do you know in gmail contacts how to delete a group named "Imported Oct 12" without deleting all the contacts in My Contacts, I like things clean LOL Or to merge them??
Next any way to do a batch format of the phone numbers, whether you want a 1 in front or dashes??? Thanks to that also )
