Unlocked Note 8 updated to Oreo this morning. Shortly after, a Voicemail app auto downloaded from the Galaxy App Store. I'm pretty sure this app was not on my phone before Oreo, but it is here now and can't be uninstalled. Just wanting some information about this app. Has anybody tried it yet, and is it worth using? I'm currently using Google Voice.

Yep, I'm on AT&T and visual voicemail was integrated in the dialer and only be able to access from there but now I see an AT&T voicemail app as well and when clicked it takes me straight to where the voicemail dialer used to.

So seems Samsung is kind of decoupling visual voicemail from its dialer.

Interesting. I have an unlocked Note 8, and downloaded Oreo this morning. I have no voicemail app like you do.

No voicemail app on unlocked. If you go to phone app and settings you can see default voicemail is carrier. You can also set Google voice as your voicemail service

I have voicemail under settings-apps. I saw it download but didn't pay any attention. on my phone all it says service provider - voicemail. but no actual app. must be the integrated one that is for carrier use.

I'm on AT&T also. I now see the icon since Oreo. The voicemail icon is still in the dialer and works. Maybe AT&T got tired of answering "where's voicemail" and made the icon visible.
