Unlocked my Tmobile Galaxy S9 to get Android 10 update faster.

So I had this idea....."If Sammies released Android 10 for Unlocked devices who's to keep me from using T-Mobile's Unlock app to unlock my phone then pull in the update?"
So I tried and still nothing when I check for updates. Has anyone else tried this or has anyone succeeded?

Unlocked phones are different from network unlocked carrier phones ... sometimes unlocked get faster then carrier or vice versa.

We'll I did it as a temp unlock so no harm no foul, it was worth a shot.
